By this point, you've likely been stuck inside with your kiddos for well over a month and may have run out of creative ways to keep them busy and entertained! Here are seven fun and creative activities the entire family can get involved in!

1)  Host your own cooking show

Each member of the family can find their own recipe they want to bring to life! After you have found the perfect creation to bake or cook, have your kids pretend they are hosts of their very own cooking show! For extra fun, you can film the “segment” and watch it as a family.

2)  “Travel” to another country

Have each member of the family pick their own destination and get ready to take off on an exciting and educational journey all without having to leave the house. Once a destination is selected, you can listen to music from the country of choice and start watching fun videos to learn more fun facts! My favorite thing to do is look up local cuisine and cook a delicious meal from that location. After dinner, watch a fun movie, tv-show, or live stream a concert from your destination.

3) Go on an indoor (or backyard) camping trip

One of my favorite childhood memories is all of my camping trips I did with my family. Camping is such a great way to disconnect and recharge. You can build a pillow fort in the living room, or if weather permits, dust off that tent and pitch it in the backyard! Grab some stuff to make s’mores at the stovetop or fireplace, and you got yourself a stay-at-home camping adventure!

4) Do daily morning yoga sessions

Yoga is a great way to get your mind and body working! Each morning, or afternoon, do a virtual yoga class with the kiddos. Not only is it a great way to get out some of that built-up energy, it will also help with sticking to a schedule that the kids will want to keep. Here is a link to a great yoga class to get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZpkRAcgws4

5)   Ultimate mosaic chalk art

This is such a fun activity for everybody in the family. All you need is some painter’s tape and some chalk to create a masterpiece right in your driveway! Tape off random squares and sections, then color in each shape with different colors. Once all of the shapes are all colored, rip off the tape and you have yourself a mosaic masterpiece for your entire neighborhood to enjoy!

6)  Make a time capsule

Without a doubt, this is such a crazy time for everybody and we will all one day look back on this time with many different emotions. Have everybody in the family participate and make a time capsule to remember this time by. In five years, you can all come back together and open it up!

7) Create your own ice cream stand

Have the entire family come up with a creative name for your ice cream stand and turn an area of your house into your very own dessert oasis! Start off by decorating your ice cream stand with its logo and fun colors! Make sure you keep your new "establishment" stalked up with all of the essentials to make your very own ice cream sundaes. You can take it a step further by having each member of the family invent their own creation to put on your menu. Make sure you save the menu you created and throw it in your time capsule!
