Questions to Ask Your Staffing Firm Before Being Submitted

If you're on LinkedIn, there's a high likelihood that you've been reached out to by a recruiter for a new opportunity! If you're interested in the position, there are a few questions you should ask your staffing firm before you are submitted to your potential employer.

  1. Can you explain the submittal, interview and hiring process for this organization?

  2. What should I know about this organization?

  3. Can you describe the organization's culture?

  4. How long have you been working with this client?

  5. How many people have you placed?

  6. Are you in direct communication with the hiring manager? What is their personality like?

  7. What can you tell me about the hiring manager?

  8. What are the most important skillsets/attributes this hiring manager is looking for?

  9. How often do you communicate with the hiring manager?

  10. Is this a newly opened position, or a backfill position?

  11. What does the team structure currently look like?

  12. Can you share their benefits package with me?

  13. What would the total compensation package look like?

Though there are other questions that may be specific to your situation, here are a few to get started with. Make sure your staffing firm knows the answers to all of these questions to help set you up for success!
