Whether you're starting a new job, gearing up for an important interview or meeting someone new that you want to impress, these tips can help you ensure you make a killer first impression!
Smile!
A smile accompanied by a warm greeting goes a long way when meeting someone new. A smile lets someone know that you're genuinely happy to meet them and will likely leave a new acquaintance feeling like you're a friendly person that they'd enjoy getting to know. Doesn't take much, huh?
Remember their Name
The most flattering thing you can do when meeting someone new is to remember their name and express genuine interest in learning more about them. Ask them about their role at the company, how long they've been there, where they are from. And always remember their name!
Make Eye Contact
When meeting someone new, make sure you maintain eye contact to let the other person know you're listening to them and are engaged in what they have to say.
Be Yourself
Make sure to be yourself. Find confidence in the friendly, respectful person you are and people will sense your authenticity, which is always a good thing!
